A private commission for a residential living room wall started with the theme of fish, and several visits to the Aquarium of the Bay where I drew from life under the occasional gaze of a very large sea bass. Drawings developed into a skein of brass wire soldered together in a continuous seventy-four foot loop, 4 x 6' x 10”.
The title comes from the 13th century Zen master Dogen, who said: Fish swim in water, and no matter how far they swim there is no end to the water.
